Recently, Confucian Role Ethics has emerged as a promising approach to machine morality for Human-Robot Interaction. Yet while Confucian Role Ethics avoids the problematic historical grounding of deontological ethics, its own history is instead mired by strict patriarchal origins. In this work, we begin to consider how these problematic dimensions of Confucian Role Ethics might be averted by taking a Feminist Approach. Overall, this work thus presents the first step toward a Feminist Robot Ethics for Human-Robot Interaction.
